They have always treated me with respect. They fix the problem and if it is not completely fixed they keep working on it until they do fix it. They let me know up front what things will cost. They are reliable. I have been a customer for almost 12 years.

I've been going to Walt Eger's for all my car issues for the last 3 years. They've always keep me up to date on what's going on with my car and the price I'm paying. They always completely fix the problem. I had instance where about a year after getting a certain part replaced on my car the new part had a problem. I took it in because of another issue with my car and they noticed this other part, brought it to my attention, and replaced it free of charge. Great Service, I highly recommend it.

I've been a customer at Walt Eger's for 4+ years. I find the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable. They will take the time to explain the issues with the car. The waiting area is always clean and tidy. Having Walt in the shop looking at each and every thing that goes on brings confidence to the customer. I do recommend Walt Eger's Service Center.

I got my very first car over a year ago and was recommended by my (boyfriend) to take my car there. Not only were they super friendly people with fast service, they also gave me great choice options and price ranges for fixing my car. Now I go to them EVERY time for all of my car maintenance needs. When it comes to my car, I truly trust Walt Eger to fix it. Great jobs guys, always.

My first visit to Walt was in 1996, when I took a company truck to where his shop was then located. I was instantly impressed by the level of service and personal attention I received. Even after he moved, I've continued having both my work and personal vehicles serviced at his center. He and his staff have been nothing but trustworthy, honorable and fair, and despite how difficult I am to please, I can honestly say I've never had an even-remotely bad experience. To me, my vehicle is like my body - If I don't trust you with it, I'm immediately gone. Fast forward to earlier this year, where my girlfriend got her first car. Before she even asked, I recommended taking it to Walt Eger's, and, in fact, we have another appointment tomorrow morning. I can't tell you what a relief it is to know that, with these folks around, you can truly have peace of mind, at least when it comes to your vehicle. I thank them for all they have done and will continue to do for me (and my girlfriend) in the future!

My family and I have been taking all of our vehicles here for over a decade now. Everything from Fords, Cadillacs and Acuras to BMWs and even a Porsche. The shop does honest, great quality, efficient work, and stands by it. The front office staff are always pleasant and very helpful, as is Walt himself. My family tends to keep vehicles for at least 10 years, and and we tend to put a lot of miles on them during that time. So we've run the gambit when it comes to repairs and maintenance on these vehicles. But no matter what the repair, we've always been charged appropriately and very satisfied with their work. Their diagnoses are always accurate, and the work is top notch. I'm mechanically inclined and do a lot of my own work, but if I have to take a vehicle anywhere, I take it to Walt's.

I have been taking vehicles to Walt Eger for many, many years. I have always received prompt, reliable, professional service at reasonable prices. Walt is the most honest mechanic have ever met. My vehicles have never received any service or repair that was not absolutely needed. I recommend Walt Eger to all of my friends and associates.

I have been going to Walt Egers for about two years now. We have several vehicles both a passanger car and the SUV have been to Walt Eger service center. The first contact was what moved us to decide on this place. The remote key on the SUV had died and we asked around to 3 other shops in our area and found that on most phone calls we were asked to come in and get it looked at and that is was probably something simple like a battery. We wondered if this was something to get us in the door and then hear about more and more work that needed done. So we continued to call local shops and ask if they had any advice as to how to fix it ourselves or if they could recommend anything. It seemed like a broken record hearing the same thing over and over about come in and let us take a look even when we asked if they could recommend and testing we could do or where to get a battery. We had been to several stores and nobody carried the replacement battery. This is no fault of the repair shops but it was frustrating to not be able to simply find a replacement battery to test if that was the root of the problem and we could then solve it ourselves. We then tried calling shops further away thinking someone had to know and would eventually tell us. We called Walts Egers and the guy answering the phone, -now we know him on a first name basis- was polite, not in a hurry and asked how he could help. I thought this would be another phone call about "you have to come in and we have to diagnose blah, blah blah, but it was completely different. He simply asked what make and model of vehicle we had and if it was a custom remote or one that came with the car. It was the original so he checked and found that they did not have any batteries for that model but that he knew the local radio shack usually carried them and had them in stock and then provided the type of battery and the instructions. We called first and then grabbed a battery from the local radio shack and fixed it ourselves. It only cost us the price of the battery. After this we decided to make the drive and try Walts for our next maintenance instead of the local shop which we had tried calling for help with the remote and got the run around. We have been happy with the choice and continue to take our vehicles here. I would recommend this shop to anyone even if it is a little longer drive. Thanks to the folks out front who answered the phone and was so helpful and gave us the advice for free. Clay Took the RAV4 into Walt Egers because we had three warning lights on and needed to get the emissions testing done. So I new we needed to get those fixed before it would pass emissions. They got us in so we wouldn't miss our emissions deadline and got it diagnosed and taken care of. Can't say thank you enough. Clay

Went to get emission work done and front brakes replaced. Was pretty specific that a smoke test probably be done to identify the leak. After shuttle takes me home which is nice I get a call stating that the work that needed to be done would 1500 (about 1100 more than I was expecting) stating that belts needed to be changed, gas cap, spark plugs and wires (because the wires are no good of course once you take the spark plugs out, EGR valve bad (but of course it is). So I after I my vehicle picked up and go about half a mile and the check engine light is on yet again. "No problem, bring it back" so I did. This time they said they couldn't do it that day as agreed and bring it back a few days later which I did. This time they completed the work for another $400 and replaced the $50 evap canister and over charged me for that as well. So "Walt" only overcharged me say.. oh about $1500, miss diagnosing the problem. Basically they were VERY LAZY by just throwing parts at and see if the problem goes away at my great expense. No way on earth should front brakes (cheap aftermarket rotors and pads) and a evap canister which is all I needed cost almost $1900. Then Randy at the front must think everybody is stupid as toaster as he comes up with a very lame excuse on why they couldn't find the original problem the first time "well you know it didn't do it last time when we check, but it finally acted up this time" WTF, really? REALLY? It's a LEAK. It does "it" every-time, every single time. If you reset the code it will pop up again in like 30 seconds. It's not rocket science here people. If they had done the smoke test they were asked to do, and didn't basically force me do a bunch of unneeded maintenance items to pad their books, and they didn't over charge me by $1000 maybe they would get a better review. If I had the time I would make it my personal mission to steer everybody in state of Maryland away from these crooks. Oh and yeah, the cheap gas cap the charged me $20 for doesn't have cord anymore and always falls down and rolls under truck when getting gas now.. just a ongoing reminder of that blood sucking money pit they call a service center.

Took my car into Walt Eger for an alternator/belt replacement. I supplied my own parts purchased from a specialty parts shop and had them shipped to the shop. When I picked up the car, I was told by the manager that the labor cost for a simple change out was $399.00. I told the manager I knew exactly what the Chilton guideline was (1.3), and that I was overcharged and never, ever taking my car back there. The manager then said his mechanic was following the same guidelines and that I was wrong. When I looked him in the eyes and said I'm not a fool, I know exactly how much the labor should be because my father has owned a shop in Florida for 30 years and told me what the standard was. Somehow, miraculously, the manager said that I was right and that the mechanic had made an "honest mistake", "a push of the wrong button", and my bill was reduced to reflect the correct labor cost. Even if it was an "honest mistake", it should have been caught and corrected by the manager before I even arrived. Times are hard and $200 goes a long way in my house. To think they would have let me walk out of there having paid $399.00 for a job that MAY have taken an hour and a half was completely demoralizing. Maybe someday, shop owners will wake up and realize that the couple of hundred dollars made on an "honest mistake", results in thousands in lost business. Had I been treated fairly, I would have spent at least a couple of thousand in upgrades and maintenance on my car. Now, I'll never go back. Not for anything.Oh also, when I took my car in the gas gauge was working fine. Now it isn't. Demoralizing.

Thank you for your feedback. We always appreciate hearing from our customers, especially if there is a problem so we can help resolve it as fast as possible. My manager has apologized for the mistake in quoting you an incorrect price. Let me also apologize for the mistake. We try very hard to review all quotes but somehow the mistake still happened If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I would love to speak to you.
