I failed the MD emissions test with 4 codes, took it to Walt Eger to fix the codes so I could pass. They only fixed 2 of the 4 codes but told me that I would pass emissions, when I didnt and I took it back they gave me a free diagnosis but I still had to pay over $400 for the repair to try and pass emissions again. Now I have my car back and it is having trouble starting, which was not listed anywhere in the two diagnoses I've gotten from them in one week.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations. When your vehicle first came in, it had four diagnostic codes related to two separate issues. The initial repairs addressed the codes that met Maryland's emissions repair dollar threshold, which would have qualified the vehicle under that requirement. The remaining two codes required additional diagnosis because components needed to be removed for further inspection, which was beyond the scope of the original repair. We're also sorry to hear about the starting issue. We stand behind our work and would be happy to inspect the no-start concern as a courtesy to determine if it is related. I can’t say enough good things about Walt Eger’s Service Center! They saved me a lot of money compared to the dealership I had been using. Not only were their prices much more reasonable, but they were also completely honest about what my car actually needed. The dealership told me there were several things wrong with my car, but Walt Eger’s Service Center thoroughly inspected it and found that many of those repairs weren’t needed at all. Their honesty and integrity gave me so much peace of mind. I’m incredibly grateful for their excellent service, fair pricing, and trustworthy staff. It’s refreshing to find a repair shop that truly puts its customers first. I’m so glad I came here, and I’ll definitely be returning for future service. Everyone was cordial and professional. Work was completed within expectations. Trash was left in vehicle.

I am the owner and am hoping that the "trash" left in the vehicle was the protective floor and seat coverings we place in each one. After the quality check, we may have left them mistakenly. Seriously the best experience I’ve ever had at an auto shop. Coming from Delaware, I had no idea how Maryland inspections worked, and Sam and the two guys up front made the whole process so easy. They explained everything, were super nice, and really tried to save me money instead of adding on a bunch of unnecessary stuff. You can tell they actually care about their customers, which is so hard to find. I’ll definitely be coming back for anything my car needs from now on. So glad I found this place!
