I really wanted to give these guys a 5/5 but there was some miscommunication (partly on my end) and I should have done more research. I feel as though I was overcharged for front brake pads and rotors...so my total bill came out to being a lot higher than anticipated and there was still things that needed to be worked on, which I thought was going to be included in the price. However, it was not. I am sure the work they did is great, I am not arguing that, I just should have clarified all they were going to be doing before I went ahead with it, because now I am having to go get more stuff done that I thought was going to be included. Just do your research on multiple places. Times are tough this year, so it's deff worth it to get more than one or two estimates.

Hi Hannah - Thank you for the review. You can be assured that we stand behind our work with a three year, 36k mile warranty. We use high quality parts and are not the least expensive for sure. As the owner, I wanted to understand your situation and it appears we are recommending a battery and a couple of filters in addition to the work already performed. You can learn a lot about an auto repair shop by the loyalty of their customers. You will find a lot of loyal customers at Walt Eger's because it's a trustworthy shop that does quality work. I've been a customer for at least five years. That's not nearly as long as some of the other customers I've met, but this is one of a handful of local businesses that I would truly miss if I were to move or it were to go out of business. I have never had any reason to doubt the quality of work, the customer service has always been fantastic, they are transparent (providing digital reports with pictures and clear recommendations), and their the prices have always been fair. A fair price does not necessarily mean the lowest price, but you can be sure that they'll do the job right and give you honest assessments and recommendations. I haven't had any issues in my time as a customer, but every interaction I've had with the staff has led me to believe that if a problem were to occur, they would do everything they could to make it right. The staff always makes me feel welcome, and they somehow seem to know me better than I'd expect for how rarely I visit. I brought my car in today, and John noticed that I'd had another child since my last visit because I have two car seats in the car, whereas I only had one on the previous visit. I never got to meet Walt, but Bruce, the current owner, is very friendly and genuine. He's happy to talk with customers and even shuttles them to and from the shop sometimes. I highly recommend Walt Eger's Service Center, and I expect that I will be a loyal customer for many more years.

When customers give our employees praise and understand who we are as a business (fair prices, but not the cheapest and always willing to stand behind our work) it just feels GREAT. Came here for work on my 2002 Lexus RX300 a few months ago. Came back for an alignment on my 2013 Honda Civic. I came back because they do 5 star service and I have peace of mind that the job is done correctly and completely

First time user, I was looking for a shop to bring all my vehicles for service and repair, this is unfortunately not it. Why? 1. I asked for Mobile Full Synthetic HIGH Milage oil, didn’t get it. No response from the desk clerk, he actually didn’t even ask what I wanted. 2. My left front tire was low when I went in and still low when it came out. They didn’t check the pressure and by the way, tire rotation is not standard. 3. Nice pictures given with receipts but what does .7 or .6 mean on my brakes? Nothing was reviewed, I paid and was handed the papers. Nice enough people, just not the place for me. For what they did and what I paid I think I could get more for my money at Jiffy Lube.

Hi Joe. As the owner, I take every review seriously, so thank you for taking the time to write. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations, but I would like to clarify a few things. We did use Mobil 1 in your truck. As well, I called the Severn Jiffy Lube and got a quote on a 2015 F150 with Mobil 1. We are actually $15 below them although we don't try to compete with them on price. They have a coupon for the tire rotation at $23.99, but it is not free. As the owner, I have to take exception to the desk clerk comment. Our two Service Advisors have a combined 45+ years of auto repair experience and work their tails off to take good care of our customers. I also reviewed the seven page courtesy inspection we texted and printed for you with pictures. It reads 7 mm on your brake pads and marks them as "Good" (green on the report). Again, I am sorry we did not meet expectations and we will work as a team to do better for the next customer. As with any customer, I am always available to discuss your experience. I had a MD safety inspection done on my vehicle. Bruce, the owner, is so hands on and so thorough. The price was great too! I highly recommend Walt Eger’s. Best customer service ever!

Brought my vehicle in on a Thursday afternoon for an alternator replacement, serpentine belt, tires, and power steering fluid flush. They had the car back to me the following day looking like a brand new car. Drives great.
