Saw a commercial for this place and all I could do is laugh. Went there about 3 months ago cause my check engine light was on and my car kept stalling. We they said they were "done" I couldn't wait to get it back. I get there and they tell me I need to bring it back because the check engine light was still on and they would have to run another diagnostic. Then I had to pay $1200 for the work they said they did and they didn't fix a damn thing. Needless to say i went somewhere else and they got he job done. People don't be fooled by the garbage commercials you see, this place has no problem ripping you off. If I wanted to get ripped off I would have gone to the dealership. What a garbage place!

I will say that the work that was completed SEEMS to be good so far but what I really hated most about this place is the attitude of the man at the front desk and the price. They overcharge and when I asked about it, the man's response was, and I quote, "We never said we were the cheapest. It's less than you would pay at the dealer." Really? No kidding! That's a no-brainer and quite frankly I don't believe that is all together true. I only went here since it was an emergency situation and I couldn't get my car to my regular mechanic (too far). Walt Eger's saw that out of state tag and took advantage of my situation. They also know there aren't many repair shops in the area. I got a quote from MY mechanic and it was HALF of what Walt Eger's charged! This was for the replacement of the coolant thermostat on my '08 MINI. Also, how many places charge for diagnostics unless they don't get to do the work? They tacked that on, too. Buyers BEWARE!

Needed a 4wheel alignment on my 2009 Volvo XC90. Called the dealer and was given a quote for $129. Thinking it was too much $$ for an alignment I decided to give my business to a small/local shop. Found this place using the RepairPal application. Went to the shop an inquired about what I needed for my vehicle. To my surprise the price given to me for an alignment was $220. That's almost $100 more than the dealer. I left the shop and until this day I can't comprehend their fees. The RepairPal application quoted the alignment between $84 and $107. Who's wrong?

Exceptional treatment of loyal customers and same day service. Welcomed by a screw in the tire flat in the morning. Called Walt Eger's and spoke to the service writer, Mark. Mark got me right in first thing. Tire service was completed with a plug while I waited and was back on the road without missing a beat of morning routine. All the staff is friendly, professional and thorough. High recommendations for any type of auto service.

Another great experience at Walt Eger's Service Center in Severn MD today! Brian, Matt, Red and Walt and all the technicians make taking my cars to Walt's the best experience I have ever had at a car service center. Everyone is professional, helpful and experienced. They care about you as a customer as well as a person and no matter what issue I bring them, it is resolved in a timely, efficient manner and at a price matched by none. They work with you, providing you rides home and pick ups and always with a smile and friendly attitude. I only take my cars to Walt's and highly recommend them to all.

We have been using Walt Eger Service Center for about a year and have had wonderful service. We have needed several MAJOR repairs on three 10-17 year old vehicles. We have been very pleased with the quality of the service and the cost - which has been hundreds of dollars below other estimates. Most recently, my daughter's van was in an accident -striking a pole. She was only carrying liability insurance. We got quotes from a collision center that were in the $5500 range We explained we would either need to repair the engine or buy her another vehicle. My husband did some of the repairs (radiator, compressor, hoses) but the engine had been shifted during the accident and sub-frame needed to be replaced. Walt Eger saved us HALF THE COST of the repair, they worked within our budget and completely exceeded our expectations on service and cost. We are so grateful we have found this service center. The staff is professional; the technicians extremely competent and they absolutely offer the best customer service and prices in the area. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

My husband and I have been a customer of Walt Eger's for years with my husband having known Walt when he was a mechanic at a gas station, before he got his own business. The staff are friendly, they have assisted me by shuttling me or giving me a loaner while my car is being worked on. The waiting room is clean. They are honest mechanics that will not fix one thing and screw up another. They have plaques on the walls that they assist in teaching the vo-tech students, the mechanics of tomorrow.
